Khadija Warsame is a Business Control Manager within the Global Technology (GT) organization at Bank of America. In this role, she is responsible for
providing centralized support to an organization of 70k+ resources on ensuring they are complying to risk, controls, and governance requirements. Functions managed include ownership of several risk and control programs, oversight of the GT Risk Committee, and managing a team of over 20 employees.
Khadija joined Bank of America in 2010 and has held various roles across the bank. Khadija has held roles across Bank of America within Consumer Business, Production Support, Business Support, and Risk and Controls Management. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Political Science. She is the lead for a Bank of America employee network called Sit with Me – Charlotte within the Women in Technology and Operations Group.
Khadija is a strong advocate for various inclusivity campaigns, mentoring
young talent, and an active member of her community. She regularly
volunteers with Dress for Success, Girls Who Code, and Second Harvest Food Bank. She is also a big comic book fan and is willing to discuss the intricate
pros and cons of DC vs. Marvel.
Dr. Yousra Mohamoud is an Epidemiologist with the CDC’s Division of Reproductive Health -Perinatal and Infant Health Team. She leads various scientific projects around maternal health, preterm birth, and infant mortality. She also provides epidemiologic support to CDC’s Perinatal Quality Collaboratives Program and Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Case Registry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Mohamoud contributed to setting up surveillance systems and publishing reports on the characteristics of COVID-19 in pregnant and reproductive aged women. Prior to joining the CDC, Dr. Mohamoud has published work investigating the effect of geographic factors including poverty, rurality, and racialized-economic segregation on adverse birth outcomes. Her previous work in infectious diseases at Weill Cornell Medical College-Qatar included characterizing the epidemiology of Hepatitis C and HIV in the Middle East and North Africa and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions for HIV prevention in sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Mohamoud obtained her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, her MS in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and her BS in Microbiology from the University of Maryland-College Park.
