Said holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Auditing from Bangalore University. He’s Chartered Management Accountant and an Associate member of the UK Chartered Institute of Management Accountants as well as Certified Public Accountant and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Adan Abbey is a senior strategist at Nationwide Insurance, one of the largest Property & Casualty insurers in the United States, and has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. In 2018 he Co-founded Horn of Africa Insurance in Hargeisa, Somaliland, one of the first insurance companies in Somaliland, and has played a critical role in pioneering the insurance sector in Somaliland.
Adan holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut and an MBA in Marketing and Management from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. He is a 2019 French African Foundation Young Leader and a 4-time Choiseul 100 Africa Laureate, an independent ranking by the Institut Choiseul that ranks the young leaders of 40 years old and below who will play a major role in Africa’s economic development.
Abdisalam is currently pursuing double majors in Finance and Economics at Texas Christian University as a junior. As an intern at the Office of Finance and Administration, he played a key role in revamping the university’s database for fixed asset management of over $100 million containing equipment, non-equipment, and artwork, inspecting asset maintenance history and depreciation. As an entrepreneur, Abdisalam has co-founded several business ventures, including an innovative clothing apparel company Boqor Clothing LLC in 2018, a dynamic digital marketing agency in 2022, and most recently, the strategic consulting firm Kaltan Strategies in 2023. Through Kaltan, which specializes in market research, he successfully helped implement an effective go-to-market strategy for businesses ranging from NGOs to specialized companies in the fragrance industry.ultural critic. She is currently an assistant professor at New York University’s Media, Culture, and Communication department. Abdihalim is a junior at Texas Christian University pursuing double majors in Economics and Finance with a minor in Energy Technology Management. He dedicates a significant amount of time to mentoring aspiring business students to realize opportunities in the finance and energy sector to prepare the next generation of leaders in Somaliland. Abdihalim has successfully co-founded Boqor Clothing LLC in 2018 in Abaarso School of Science & Technology, a pioneer in Somaliland’s clothing industry by starting one of the first Somali owned clothing brands. In 2020, he worked at Berbera port under the DP World’s supply chain and logistics department where he was tasked with import and export clearance as well as the management of over 100 transportation fleet.
