- To host annual or semi-annual events to stimulate and foster breakthrough ideas.
- To initiate and support self sustaining projects in Somaliland.
- To promote Somaliland’s long history and its right to self-determination.
- To display the distinct cultural heritage of Somaliland.

- The lack of cohesive actions amongst the Somaliland-American community.
- The lack of communication amongst Somaliland-Americans that are spread across all regions of the US.
- The lack of committed intellectuals to advance Somaliland's vision.
- The lack of a dynamic and organic organization that can stimulate ideas.
